My name is Ben. I’m in my early thirties. I’m a dedicated yet always lacking Christian. I’m happily married to my wife of almost 13 years now. We are enjoying our lives as we raise and homeschool our 4 children and are expecting our 5th to come some time in June.
I accepted Christ as my savior at a summer camp when I was around 12 years old, but didn’t start looking for Him until I was about 19, and didn’t truly start to seek His ways until I was about 23. I’ve done a lot in my short life, and am humbled to call myself one that has been cleansed by the Blood of Christ. I’ve had ups and downs, but focus on each day as its own.
I am an addict. Alcohol, Drugs, TV, anything that separates me from Christ, and takes my time away fit into my addictions. It’s in my nature. Call it genes if you want, I just call it the way it is. I mean seriously, books are even a “hit” for me. I’ve recognized my problems, and through CR and other ministries, seek to control them until the day I can go and be with my Savior. This isn’t a subject of shame for me, but of God’s amazing grace and mercy, that while I was still a sinner He died to set me free. Jesus is truly the reason for my season!!!
I’m hoping to finish my race and receive a “Well Done” from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
